It is my belief that patient care does n’ot only need a viable technique in accomplishing the different procedure but should have a deeper mode of delivery to achieve necessary goals. The Nurse-patient relationship initiates a connection, in which nurses establish professional interaction with their patient, to gain foundation in promoting and determining the different potentialities and actual needs. This dynamic makes the nurse’s goal of maintenance of health, restoration of health, or maximizing the capacities of the patient to recovery, clearer and more attainable.
The basis of appropriate nursing care relies on more than a nurse’s motivations; accompanying these is the essence of compassion, which is a mode of delivering care in a continuous process. Also, nurses are looking for the opportunity to work in a practice setting where standard nursing practice and principles of compassionate care jive, in which the patient’s health attainment becomes the ultimate goal.
Nursing is based on the innate ability of caring for the patient, which forms the root of compassion. It is an active involvement, not a passive position. It means having a support mechanism so that preceptor ship and clinical supervision may have a role in facilitating compassionate care. The concept of compassionate interaction in alleviating negative emotion in depressed patients is also being discussed by some theorists as part of the concept of care concerning the patient’s state of emotional health. Nurse-patient interaction initiates the establishment of a relationship, which brings the concept of compassion in care.
Wright (2004) argued that “personal, professional, and healthcare agendas seem to draw us ever further away from the heart of nursing”. He suggested that activities considered to be intellectually demanding, such as managerial and technical aspects of care, are perceived as more important than “hands-on” care. Inputs of proper emotional contact with patient should include “hands on” care, thus making compassionate interaction more specified. King, in her Goal Attainment theory, discussed perceptual congruence and transaction on the nurse-patient interaction that leads to goal attainment. It specifically addresses how nurses interact with patients to achieve health goals, including concepts of interaction, perception communication, transaction, growth, and development.
Nursing is caring for the patient with an innate sense of compassion. Some view compassion as being linked to caring behavior and continuously evolving through the help of different studies and research. Compassion is an interaction rooted in the social mentality theory—an evolutionary-based approach to social motivation and competencies. This suggests that compassionate behavior evolved out of the care-giving mentality. As such, it utilizes and patterns a variety of motivational, emotional, and cognitive competencies that are care-focused. These competencies organize our minds in certain ways, thus acquiring the name compassionate mind or mentality, referring to compassionate mind training as compared to viewing it as a focused schema. As professionals working for another’s benefit, compassion is a mentality that everyone must understand, and also practice. To involve one’s self in patient care is merely accomplishing a nurse’s duty, but affecting them through modes of care is more than that.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES - The governement urges Filipino nurses to look for jobs in Saudi Arabia, instead of the United States. Saudi Arabia has now emerged as the largest oil producer as well as nurse recruiter, getting ahead of US, said Trade Union Congress of the Philippines secretary-general, Ernesto Herrera
With the launch of Saudi's Nitaqat Program, priority is given to Saudi nationals over foreign nationals to increase employment of their local people. This however, is not a threat for Filipino nurses, household workers, skilled laborers and skilled construction workers because very few Saudi nationals have this kind of job or profession.

Filipino nurses have always been known for their innate caring nature and because of that we have been well sought nurses worldwide. The impact of being prepared before hitting the market on one's job performance, job satisfaction, career development and advancement is very important. The unemployment problem of nurses here in the Philippines have made nurses to be in a rush to go abroad to be able to help their families financially. With this in mind, nurses often disregard one of the most important thing – preparedness to penetrate the global market.

Nurses should try to explore other career opportunities such as becoming entrepreneurs, suggested the Department of Labor and Employment last Sunday addressing the oversupply of nurses. Nurses can now practice their entrepreneural skills by setting up their very own nursing clinics and small pharmacies.
Due to economic crisis, nurse-importer countries such as the US and UK have decreased its demand for nurses. Filipino nurses are stuck in the country with limited job opportunities, that's why more and more nurses are becoming unemployed.

Manila, September 7, 2011 – The Phili ppines launches first mobile health apps contest to transform healthcare in the country. Sponsored by Borderless Healthcare Group Inc, a contest named “HERO” (Health Enterprise/Entrepreneur Revolution Officer) will commence in the Philippines to search for the most innovative idea for a mobile healthcare application that will redefine global healthcare. The winner will undergo a USD $25,000 incubation program managed by a multi-disciplinary team of experts ranging from renowned medical doctors, medical-legal professionals, investment bankers and telecommunication leaders. He/she will also be flown to Singapore on October 11, 2011 to attend the award ceremony at the inaugural Borderless Healthcare Forum - a week-long event featuring key global opinion leaders from the healthcare TMT (Technology, Media, Telecommunication) and investment space.
This initiative was inspired by the shifting consumer demand for mHealth apps that provide more than just basic healthcare information. It is estimated that there will be more than 500 million mHealth users by 2015, of which, the majority will be in the Asia Pacific region.
"First generation health-centric mobile apps with basic content or simple algorithms will soon be obsolete as consumers today are looking for new levels of interactivity, functionality, scalability and professional content in their healthcare apps," said Frank Levering, Director of IT Strategy of BH Mobile Pte Ltd. Dr Joseph Barril, renowned cardiac surgeon at Asian Hospital and Medical Center, Manila, added, “Everyone is talking about globalization and with the advent of new tools in communications, everyone is within reach. Second opinions and interpretation of medical tests are just a click away.”
